Anti-Bullying Policy

Griffins Boxing and Fitness is completely opposed to bullying and will not tolerate it within our membership. Griffins was created to provide a safe environment to promote our mission: to change people’s lives by increasing confidence. Importantly, this environment was created to give a safe place for people getting bullied outside of the gym. As well, Griffins can be for those who may have pent up anger or tough situations in life, and gives them a place to let out their built up aggression on a heavy bag or hand pads, not on an individual.
Bullying is an act of aggression, causing embarrassment, pain or discomfort to someone and it can take a number of forms including physical, verbal and exclusion. It is Griffins Boxing and Fitness policy that any current member that has been reported using their boxing skills, with instigation, outside the club and/or has been reported as bullying, shall be asked to leave the club immediately for a suspended time and/or permanently.
Anyone who becomes the target of bullies should not suffer in silence, Griffins Boxing and Fitness is in full support of those who have the courage to speak out. As well, Griffins Boxing and Fitness is in full support of someone trying to better themselves by finding a new approach to vent their pain and anger.
