Boxing Canada Team Announcement

Congratulations is extended to Kevin Howard, ChPC  who is returning from his assignment as the Team Leader and Head Coach to Guadalajara, Mexico upon the completion of the 16th Pan American Games.  The Canadian Boxing team was proudly represented by seven athletes and the Boxing Team is returning with five medals!  This includes three Bronze and two Gold medals.  As well, the Canadian team flag bearer at the closing ceremonies was Mary Spencer (75 kg, female) who won the first Gold medal in female Boxing at Pan American competition!  Mandy Bujold won the Gold in the 51 kg female division.  Bronze medals were won by Mian Hussain (69 kg), Brody Blair (75 kg) and Steve Harvey (91 kg). The Canadian Boxing team finished third, overall at this tournament.  Mike Summers served as an official in this tournament and Boxing Canada President, Pat Fiacco served as a member of the Jury.
